Mooretown's Director of Natural Resources testifies to House Committee on Agriculture

On September 10, Mooretown’s Director of Natural Resources Carrie Monohan testified to the House Committee on Agriculture for the session focused on “Promoting Forest Health and Resiliency Through Improved Active Management.” Dr. Monohan was one of four, and the only representative of Tribal interests, who spoke with Doug LaMalfa, the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Forestry and Horticulture and other committee members. Her testimony highlighted the critical importance of active forest health management, particularly activities led by Tribes, who have managed our forests for thousands of years.
