Mooretown is Honored to be Recognized by the CA Tribal Fund and Site Tour

Mooretown was honored when First Nations’ California Tribal Fund—a non-profit that has provided financial and technical assistance to advance Native-led practices for fire and drought mitigation efforts—spotlighted our work to center cultural and traditional ecological knowledge in our forestry and stewardship practices. California Tribal Fund also joined Natural Resources staff on a tour of the Mooretown Tribal Cultural Landscape, a site that is at the heart of current post-fire ecological restoration and forest management work, including bringing good fire back to the land.
